Delphine FERCHAT-AGOGUE began to study music at CNR of Rennes at the age of 4 and was awarded, at a very early age, the Interdepartmental Prize and the Prize of Excellence at the Bellan and Nérini Contests. She also gained the First Prize for Musical Formation at the CNR of Aubervilliers and First Prize for Violin and Chamber Music at the CNR of Versailles. She continues to work with the Royal Academy of Music of Brussels, where she was awarded the Diplôme Supérieur. She has worked with: Yvonne Blot, Irina Botchkova, Alexandre Melnikov, Alain Moglia, Clara Bonaldi and Adam Korniceswski
Virginie SOUMOY-CAMBON was awarded many First Prizes at the CNR of Nancy and won Gold Medals for Piano, Chamber Music and Musical Formation. She holds the title of Licence de Concert and Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste at L’Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris. A prize winner of the Cziffra and Menuhin Foundations, she won the Olivier Messiaen Prize at Concours Musical de France. She has worked with Gaston Bollen, Edson Elias, Angeline Pondepeyre, Pierre Sancan, Georges Cziffra, Frédéric Gevers, Claude Franck, Karl-Heinz Kammerling, Abdel- Rahman El-Bacha and France Clidat.
Their services, as soloists or performers of Chamber Music, have taken them to Algeria, Germany, England, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Italy and Russia, as well as too many French cities. Delphine performs in many chamber music concerts, ranging from piano recitals to quintets, and is a member of the Primavera Quintet (accordion, guitar, contrabass, piano and violin). She has performed chamber music or played in orchestras for various artists, including Michel Fugain, Rita Mitsouko, the jazz violinist Didier Lockwood, the singer Françoise Pollet, the pianist Paul Badura-Skoda, the violinist Patrice Fontanarosa, the cellist Emmanuelle Bertrand and the professional singer, Jessy Normann. She has performed in French orchestras under such prestigious directors as Sado Yutaka, Avi Owstrovski and Edmond Colomer and has taken part in many television broadcasts and CD recordings. Virginie has given several duet or trio recitals and concerts. She regularly accompanies singers and choral societies such as the Opera Singers “Stars”, from the Benefit Theatre of Perm in Russia, Rounds Lyric of France and the Children’s Choral Society "Mirabelles", from Nancy. Several Russian and Spanish television programs have been especially devoted to her.
In 2001 Delphine and Virginie formed the Lazaro Duet and they have already given several concerts in France and Canada. In addition to their work as concert performers, they have both taught their discipline in various French Music Schools.
